After being introduced to SUS in September through acting as the First Year Rep, I have also experienced its numerous facets through sitting on council, the First Year Committee, and the Academic Committee. Being exposed to the various initiatives and the passionate students driving them have inspired me to take on a bigger role, and dedicate my time for the council to better serve all of YOU, the science students at UBC! To achieve a transparent, inclusive, and efficient council, the systems in place must be re-evaluated and either refined, or improved.
